Alcohol Abuse / Alcohol Addiction Treatment
Every potential patient begins with an Intake Assessment. One of our experienced, highly credentialed addictions counselors will conduct the Intake Assessment.
New Life offers two levels of treatment for patients with alcohol abuse issues. Based on the results of the patient’s Intake Assessment, the counselor will develop a treatment plan and refer the patient to one of the programs below:
1. Alcohol & Drug Treatment Group (ADTG) Program
Designed as an education-based treatment program, ADTG is designed for patients with a history of early alcohol abuse problems (i.e. first DWI). Meeting once a week for 12-26 weeks, this group is led by a veteran addictions counselor.
2. Intensive Outpatient Program – Phase 1
Designed for patients with alcohol addiction, this group meets three hours a day, three days a week for eight weeks. Facilitated by experienced highly trained addictions counselors, the Intensive Outpatient Program integrates education, self-awareness and a 12-step approach to recovery.
3. Intensive Outpatient Program – Phase 2
For patients completing the Intensive Outpatient Program, this program is a less-intense continuation of recovery program. Meeting twice a week, Continuation of Care allows patients to enhance their recovery skills by building on previously learned recovery principles. Continuation of Care is an 6-10 month program.
